Spiders feed on insects, so homes with lots of moths and other insects tend to have more spiders too. Changing outdoor lights to warmer bulbs and keeping garden beds back from the walls can help. Spider activity picks up in the warmer months, and many people book a treatment in spring before it starts. If children play outside, pay attention to shoes left on the porch, toys in the yard and the undersides of play equipment, where redbacks like to hide.
