Ants are a regular summer problem across Brisbane. Trails across the kitchen bench, nests in garden beds and pavers lifted by colonies underneath are all common calls. Ants often move inside after heavy rain, when their nests flood, or in hot dry spells when they go looking for water. Bait takes a few days to work because worker ants carry it back to the nest to share. Try not to spray or wipe the trails during that time, as it can break the chain. The crew will tell you how long to leave it.
